Puppies Behind Bars Graduation at Fishkill Correctional Facility Highlights the Positive Value of the Program

Recently, DOCCS Acting Commissioner Anthony J. Annucci spoke at a Puppies Behind Bars graduation at Fishkill Correctional Facility. This program not only positively impacts the lives of so many men and women who have honorably served our country and our communities, but also incarcerated individuals selected for this program to train the puppies. Every life these dogs touch is forever changed.

One of the veterans, Senior Airman Jacob Hill, U.S. Air Force, opened his heart and spoke powerfully about his past in the service and how his new dog Felix is impacting his life today

Two incarcerated men, both puppy trainers, talked about the positive changes in their lives brought about by working with the Puppies Behind Bars program.
