2018 Graduation Ceremony at Cayuga Correctional Facility

On Friday, May 18, 2018, Cayuga Correctional Facility recognized 18 students who received their High School Equivalency diplomas, and two Cornell Prison Education Program students who were the first to receive their Associates in Liberal Arts degrees while at Cayuga CF.

Family members of the 20 graduates were also in attendance along with staff. The facility band provided the music, including the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” processional. Marlene Klock, Project Director for the Onondaga County Reentry Task Force was guest speaker. She had the audience in the palm of her hand while presenting the Task Force’s program offerings for those returning to the community. After the formal ceremony, “Click-Click” took pictures of the graduates and family members followed by lunch and cake.
