Lakeview S.I.C.F. Make A Difference

In November, Lakeview S.I.C.F. Make A Difference Day (MADD) Committee held an employee lunch and basket raffle to raise funds for veterans. MADD also participated in the Union Relief Association's Christmas Angel Tree Project.

Lakeview S.I.C.F. Make A Difference Day (MADD) Committee held an employee lunch and basket raffle to raise funds for veterans. Lunch was provided--free of charge--13 staff members who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. Staff donated items for the free gift basket raffle for a veteran and another basket to raise funds. MADD also donated $100 to the LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve in Oswayo, PA--a volunteer-run facility that takes wounded and disabled veterans on hunting trips and other outdoor activities.

Also, the Lakeview Vocational Painting and Decorating Program built, decorated and painted a Christmas tree to display angels for the Union Relief Association's Christmas Angel Tree Program. Staff purchased gifts for 30 local children and donated several boxes of cereal for their families, which will be included in the food baskets and distributed for the holiday season.
